I am taking this course because I am majoring in Cultural Geography. My minor is Chinese Culture and Commerce, but I could have just as easily chosen something related to Latin America, as this is one of my main areas of interest. I would most likely have chosen something related to Latin America over China if it had been offered.
My main areas of study are economic and urban geography. I unfortunately have not taken as many urban-related classes as I would have liked, but will hopefully be able to take more in the future (assuming that LSU will let me take classes that are not going towards a degree). I have taken numerous economics-related courses.
I am a fifth year senior, and also attended LSU from Fall, 1999 to Spring, 2001. The first time I tried to major in beer and women, but unfortunately LSU does not give a degree for that, so I had to leave school to have life teach me a few lessons before I could return and have a successful school career.
